FAQ

What sort of photographer are you?

I like to think of myself as being a 'documentary style wedding photographer' and in the main, the majority of my work is exactly that. It's candid and unposed and represents what is really happening rather than everyone standing on ceremony for hours on end. However, I still enjoy taking family group photos but I try to make it fun and I don't take too long about it. Also, I like to take a few shots of the Bride and Groom in more of a choreographed and creative fashion or bridal magazine style.

How much experience do you have?

I've been a photographer for more than 30 years but shooting weddings since 2004.

What can we expect from you as part of your service?

I don't offer complicated 'packages' involving time limitations etc, instead all quotations include a pre-shoot with images provided, all consultations, unlimited time on the day, all edited images delivered via digital download and an online gallery for friends and family to view. There are many album options that I would love to work with you to create. There is more on that at the foot of the About page. The price quoted will reflect distances and locations and will be will be all inclusive of all the above.

How many photos will we get?

There can never be a definite number but on average I usually edit to a final set for my clients of around 500 edited magazine quality images which are generally delivered within a month after the wedding.

What about albums?

When you've had a chance to thoroughly look through all your pictures I will invite you to choose a selection of your favourites and then I will design an album for you. You will also be able to take part in the designs and make sure you are happy with the final drafts before they go off to be made. I work with only the best suppliers who offer the best quality products anywhere in the world. Currently I work with Graphistudio of Italy, and British companies Loxley Colour and SIM Imaging. I have samples that I will be happy to show.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have full Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance and I am also DBS checked.

What happens if you are ill or cannot attend the wedding?

Firstly, this has never happened and I don't ever expect it to and I would have to be on my death bed or stranded on a desert island to not turn up for your wedding. I understand the need to answer this one properly though and if that ever happened you would be provided with another photographer, one of a number of other professionals that I associate with plus a compensation payment of not more than 25% of the total paid.
